Kings Park Natureplay Day
Students from the Deaf School recently had an exciting adventure up to the King's Park Naturescape. Our students always enjoy playing in our nature play areas at school, so they naturally loved the opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate the unique Western Australian environment up at King's Park. Many of them braved the heights of The Bungarra and The Python, waded in the Paperbark Waterhole, got caught in a web in The Tangle, disappeared down The Burrow and built some awesome cubbies using natural resources. Every child faced a challenge, like crossing the creek balancing on a wooden log, and we all celebrated when they achieved it.
They also had the opportunity to participate in guided activities in the educational areas where they were able to develop a better understanding of the Wadjuk Noongar connection to country. If any of our Mosman Park families have not yet experienced the Naturescape, the students of the Deaf school can definitely recommend it!
